Bullocks sold to 401p/kg for a Limousin at 252kg (£1010) and to a top of £1670 per head for a Charolais at 596kg (280p/kg).

Heifers sold to 310p/kg for a Limousin at 294kg (£910) and to a top of £1670 per head for a Charolais at 598kg (279p/kg).

A lot more cattle are required to meet demand with a large number of buyers attending ringside and online.

Weekly Saturday sheep sale

Saturday 27th April seen a bigger entry of sheep with nearly 1200 sheep on offer.

The sale resulted in another day of fantastic trade with 530 hoggets, 200 spring lambs and 450 cull ewes and rams for sale, many of the lots made super prices.

Hoggets reached a top of £204 per head for 2 hoggets at 31kg and to a top of 870p/kg for 2 hoggets at 11.5kg into £100.

Spring lambs sold to a top of £191 for 3 lambs at 28.3kg and to a top of 783p/kg for 8 lambs at 22.6kg into £177.

Cull ewes saw a strong trade reaching £212 for 2 ewes with many lots of ewes again reaching strong prices and fat rams to a high of £198 for a single ram.

Wednesday 24th April saw a strong entry of sheep for sale with 400 sheep on offer.

Sale saw many lots of ewes with twins at foot reaching well over £300 again with the top reaching £360 for 7 ewes with 14 lambs at foot, ewes with singles at foot reached a high of £275 for 1 ewe with 1 lamb at foot.
